Any professional (trader, insurance broker, customs agency, etc.) can perform the pre-registration via Autoconnect VIPS.

Autoconnect VIPS is currently not available for private individuals. Please contact a professional (dealer, insurance broker, customs agency, etc.) who can perform the pre-registration via Autoconnect VIPS.

You can pre-register the following vehicle categories online:

  • M (passenger cars and buses)
  • N (trucks and tractors)
  • O (trailers and semi-trailers)
  • L (mopeds, motorcycles, electric bicycles, and other small vehicles)

All other vehicles must be pre-registered and registered by the Vehicle Registration Office (DIV).

If the vehicle was imported from abroad, an E705 must be applied for.

Professional vehicle importers can apply for an A+ license. This also allows you to clear vehicles through customs via VIPS. B licenses were replaced by the e-vignette (E705) on May 13, 2019, and are no longer issued.

With a used imported vehicle, you must go for an inspection AFTER pre-registration. This is not necessary with new vehicles.

The license plate will only be produced after the vehicle has been registered (via Autoconnect WebDIV) by the insurance broker.
